Some users have reported that various troubleshooting from other sources have suggested that they disable Killer Prioritization Engine (formerly referred to as ‘Advanced Stream Detect’) in the Killer Control Center.
Disabling Killer Prioritization Engine disables the Killer Control Center’s ability to prioritize packets and reduce latency. Most issues for which this troubleshooting step is suggested are issues that can be resolved by updating to the latest version of the Killer Control Center instead of disabling it.
If you continue to experience issues with connectivity after clean-installing the latest version of the Killer Control Center, you can reach out to us by clicking the Contact button on the left. Please be sure to include a diagnostic as instructed when submitting a support ticket.
If you still prefer to permanently disable Killer Prioritization Engine, the best way to do this will be to remove the Killer Control Center and install our driver-only package, which includes only the latest device drivers for your Killer Networking Adapter.
